Hannah Cheang

Senior Associate

Hannah graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the National University of Singapore in 2013. She was part-called to the Singapore Bar in May 2014 and subsequently admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in August 2014.

Hannah was trained and has practised in civil litigation, general corporate work, private client matters, and briefly in criminal litigation.

In terms of dispute resolution, Hannah has handled a wide variety of matters including contractual disputes; matrimonial disputes involving divorce, annulment, ancillary matters, intervention in ancillary matters and variation of maintenance; construction disputes under both the Court system and the Building and Construction Industry Securities of Payment Act; property disputes between landlord and tenant, between co-owners, between vendor and purchaser and between subsidiary proprietor and MCST; employment disputes involving wrongful dismissal and breach of confidentiality; personal injury claims; insurance disputes; trade mark infringement claims and bankruptcy disputes.

As for the non-contentious matters, Hannah has drafted personal data protection policies for companies; basic and complex wills; deeds of loan, guarantee, distribution/arrangement, trust, separation, settlement and prenuptial deeds; sale and purchase agreements for shares and assets; shareholders’ agreements; leases, licences and franchise agreements; and powers of attorney. She also regularly assists clients in applications for grant of probate/letters of administration and trade mark registration.

Hannah is an avid footballer. She currently plays midfield for the Law Society women’s team and represents the Singapore Bar in the annual Bench & Bar Games against the Malaysian Bar.
